Welcome to our new site

A lot has changed in 10 years. Our work has evolved from a determined personal project on climate change, to a thriving collaborative business that partners with change-makers of all sizes. Smartphones were born and Adobe Flash died. We had a kid. It was time for a new website.
Over the past year or so – in and around other projects and distractions – we’ve been working on designing and building out a new portfolio site. It features our favorite films, photography and interactive projects, a comprehensive photography archive and our news feed all the way back to when we were chasing reindeer in 2006. It’s lightning fast. And it works on your phone.
Find it at benjandsara.com.
The man behind the magic is web developer Darin Reid. We've been building things together since the seventh grade, but perhaps nothing near this involved or complex. Over 10,000 Slack messages later, his prowess and attention to detail continues to awe us and we are immensely grateful for what he’s built here. There’s apparently nothing he can’t do and we simply could not do our work without him.
For those interested in what’s going on behind-the-scenes: The site is a single-page web application powered by the Vue.js javascript framework. The development, build processes and file-structure are adapted from the vue-webpack boilerplate. Images are hosted (and synced to Lightroom) via a custom implementation of the SmugMug API and CDN. We edit pages in Markdown and an automated build and deployment process creates what you see. The type is set in Laurenz Brunner's Akkurat.
