Three new web projects launched
Over the last couple months I’ve completed a number of new websites. All were collaborations with my good friend and Web developer Darin Reid. First up was a site for the upcoming Three Degrees conference. The Law of Climate Change and Human Rights Conference will take place this coming May and is organized by UW law students Jen Marlow and Jeni Krencicki Barcelos. All the photography on the site is from Facing Climate Change. Darin built the site on a WordPress backend using my design.
Darin has also been chipping away on a sophisticated new site for my brother’s band, The Senate, and late last year it finally went live. I contributed all the photography on the site.
And yesterday we launched Chattermarks, North Cascades Institute’s new blog about living, learning and teaching in the North Cascades. I designed the Institute’s main site way back in 2004 and this project was an opportunity to bring modern Web features to their online presence. Darin again used WordPress to bring my design to life. We included two unique features I’m particularly pleased with: the first is the excerpt bar across the top of the home page that displays the second, third and fourth most recent posts, Darin also worked a little PHP magic to bring large, full-bleed images above each post title. I’m excited to watch this site grow and develop over the months to come!
