How to Count a Wolf

Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife
2020

Wolves are recolonizing Washington. This film follows three wildlife biologists who try to find them as they get here. Learn about the methods they use, and the risks they take, to monitor recovery.

Each year the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife puts out an annual report on how the wolf population is doing. To compliment that report, they asked us to tell this story about how they collect that data. Read more at wdfw.wa.gov/wolves.

For more on WDFW and wolf management, see our film The Predator-Prey Project.
