UW Focus the Nation

Join us at the University of Washington as over a thousand campuses across the nation participate in a national conversation centered around the science and solutions to global warming. The day will be a blend of plenary talks, panel discussions and exhibitors. We’ll be screening our new multimedia presentation at the Husky Union Building in room 108 from 12-1 p.m., and then again in W. H. Gates Hall in room 118 from 3-4 p.m. Learn about volunteer glacier monitors in Iceland, Sámi reindeer herdsmen from Norway and fishermen of the North Atlantic. Explore how the disconnect between people, nature and community impacts adaptation to climate change. Our traveling exhibit will also be in the HUB West Ballroom from 10-5 p.m., and at an evening town hall discussion with local politicians in Kane Hall from 7-9 p.m. Special thanks to Glazer’s Camera.
