Copper Mountain

The Quesnel Trough copper belt stretches for 2000 miles from British Columbia down into Washington State and is thought to be one of the most productive copper resources in the world. Only 50 miles north of the Methow Valley is Copper Mountain, an 18,000-acre open-pit near Princeton, BC. It’s estimated to contain five billion pounds of copper. These images were made for Methow Headwaters in May 2017.
