Carbon Stocks

Monitoring tree and liana growth allows the TEAM Network to calculate the carbon stored in tropical forests. Six vegetation plots that cover one hectare of forest each are installed and measured yearly at 17 sites to track changes in tree growth in response to climate. Shown here is fieldwork from Uganda, Tanzania, Peru and Malaysia.
